Toronto scores 6 runs in the 8th inning to go up 15-14. three world series records were broken (at that time). 1. longest time in nine inning game at 4h 14m. 2. most runs scored in a game at 29. and 3. most runs scored by a losing team with 14. Charlie Williams became the first African American to serve as home plate umpire at a world series game.
