oilers could make playoffs TONIGHT yep, if the oilers beat anaheim and vancouver loses to san jose in regulation (a loss in overtime or shootout would give vancouver a point), the oilers would be in. i can smell the playoffs. mmmmm playoffs. update: the oilers beat the ducks 2-1 and san jose beat vancouver 5-3. the oilers are in AND at the same time got colorado into the playoffs. now i really smell the playoffs
a great cbc film i finished watching a two part series on cbc. canada/russia '72 was the name of the movie. it was almost like watching the 8 game series. it was exactly like what happened in 1972. considering i was born two years later, i can watch the highlites. gotta get the dvd series. canada won the eight game series with four wins, three losses and a tie. paul henderson scored the game winner the last three games of the series. quite the series.
where have i been? ive been out of it lately. my other half and i had a bit of an arguement on wednesday. we've got it resolved now, which is good. anyways, i am now watching calgary at vancouver. its 2-0 for vancouver in the second period. i didnt see the toronto/philly game at all. i so desperately needed a nap then. toronto won by the way 4-2. anyways thats where ive been.
baseball fun lots of baseball fun the last couple of days. loads of afternoon baseball yesterday for the first full day of baseball. 10 more games today. i guess its time to start watching some baseball. lots of time yet. the season is very young. time to knock in a few runs.
