end of august. wow good greif. august went like a bat out of hell. well, not really. it did fly though. i now own survivor palau on dvd. picked it up on tuesday. lots of car racing, and matt kenseth is on a roll. lots of baseball, the 25th edition of the fringe, my birthday (wow 32) and catching up on listening to prairie pickin. i believe the last episode of the month is tonight. preseason nfl football ends tonight and tomorrow. cant forget the labour day weekend games coming up. gotta love it. anyways thats all for now. WOOOOOOOW. a smoking rendition of prairie pickin' theme done live by jerusalem ridge at the cjsr studio. likely a couple of more songs live by them. my ears are still smoking.
sharpie 500 this race just ended. mat kenseth has won the sharpie 500 and clinched a spot in the 10 race chase. jimmie johnson finished 10th and also clinched a spot in the chase. if my math is right johnsons lead is now 7 pts. tony stewart finished 22nd and kurt busch finished 37. kurt won make the chase with this finish. jeff gordon finished 5th. next race is in california a week from tomorrow. sidenote: 48 points seperate 4th through 10th. kasey kahne, greg biffle and carl edwards have a mathematic chance of getting to 10th. kahne has more of a realistic shot, being 90 points out, while biffle and edwards are more than 200 out. race in california starts at 5 edmonton time (7pm et, 4 pm pt)
bluegrass entertainment litening to doug and rob, and they just played an awesome rendition of great balls of fire. it was pretty cool. sounded better that the original i think.
night time thunderstorm dont youjust love night time thunderstorms when you can watch the lightning flash?
mlb game of the night im watching arizona at san francisco right now. giants lead 1-0 going to the bottom of the 6th on a solo homer by barry bonds. thats his 725 career homer. earlier oakland beat toronto 12-10 after trailing 8-0 after two innings. added to that a little confrontation between jays manager john gibbons and jays pitcher ted lilly. it happened after lilly got pulled in the top of the 3rd giving up 7 oakland runs, him and gibbons argued into the dugout and going into the team clubhouse. gibbons came out with a bloody nose. there will be more to that tomorrow. update: giants 5 diamondbacks 0. noah wylie pitched a two hit shutout. arizona commited 3 errors in the game leading to 4 of 5 giants runs,
gfs marketplace 400 i hope someone watched this, cause it was never listed to be on air here (wierd eh). im going by what i read. matt kenseth won his third race. tony stewart finished 3rd, jimmie johnson was 13th, kyle AND kurt busch were involved in accidents after blowing a tire. jeff burton had an engine problem. major shake in the points. johnson still leads, kensethe is 58 back, tony moved up to 5th, jeff burton lost 5 spots. and is denny hamlin having a great year or what. i'll tell you, hes impressed me. three races to the chase, and 50 points seperate 6th to 10th. yikes. and it will be shaken up more saturday night. and i cant wait for this one already. saturday night in bristol.
a tuesday night not much tonight. lots of baseball, thats about it. sleep is good, since im off tomorrow. not much else. mmmmm sleeeep zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
amd at the glen kevin harvick won his first road course race here. tony stewart finished 2nd, jamie mcmurray third, robby gordon 4th and carl edward was fifth. this was a great race to watch. passes all over the place. few drivers got knowcked around a bit. jimmie johnson finished 17, matt kenseth finished 21. so jimmie kept his lead. tony stewart moved up to 7th in the points. next race in michigan. four races to the 10 race cut-off. gonna be fun.
fall like weather sure feels like october. rainy and 15 above. i like it this way. if only it were really october. it would be world series time. mmmmmmmm baseball.

2 years to beijing the two years to go to the beijing olympics was yesterday. and now i am the owner of the mascots. i have yet to decide where to put them. this was my late birthday present from darren and brought home by his sister darcia. allstate 400 at the brickyard jimmie johnson has won the allstate 400 and became the second driver to win the daytona 500 and the allstate 400 in the same yeat. the first - dale jarrett in 1996. tony stewart finished 8th, matt kenseth finished second and jeff gordon finished 16, despite having early problems and getting all his laps back. jimmie had a tire problem, restarted 38 and still won. a great race. next race in watkins glen a week from today.
chase utley's hit streak chase utley had a hit in 35 straight games - until tonight. went hitless against the mets. the longest streak is 56 that was set in 1941 by joe dimaggio. utley had the second longest streak in phillies history behind jimmie rollins. he had 36 to end last season and two games to start this year (38 overall). i love baseball history. i find it intriguing.
im a hurricane well, at the moment, more like a tropical storm. tropical storm Chris is approacing the easter carribean. Hurricane warnings are up for the bahamas, and puerto rico got evacuated. time for me to unleash some fury lol. some birthday present - to discover that your a tropical storm.
