Hisashi Iwakuma of the Seattle Mariners completed a no hitter as the Mariners beat the Baltimore Orioles 3-0. Iwakuma threw 116 pitches, 77 for strikes. he had 7 strike outs and allowed three walks. it is the Mariners 5th no hitter. the last M's no hitter was the last American League no hitter, in August 2012 when Felix Hernandez threw a perfect game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Iwakuma became the second Japanese pitcher to throw a no hitter. the first was Hideo Nomo. so congrats to Hisashi Iwakuma
this is a first in major league baseball. there were 15 games last night and all 15 home teams won. never been done. home teams have won all games before, but with less games scheduled (11-0, 8-0 and a 7-0 in there), but this is a first with a full schedule.
