Good last weekend of May.

Was a good weekend. Nice way to cap off May. Today I finished off sanding off the wood flooring in the living room next door. Watched dad put a coat of verathane on that floor. As it dried up, dad and I put up a shower curtain rod, then mowed two lawns, came back to see dad put on a second coat of verathane. This after yesterday I stained the last of the fence and gaps, mowed two lawns (one was mine), put down wood chips and did my laundry. I think next door is very close to finished being renovated. Good bye May.

Hockey returning

Hockey will be back. In a 29-2 vote, the 2020 Stanley Cup playoffs will be starting in July. Training camps start no earlier than July 1. Two "hub cities" will be chosen at some point. Some firm of sanity is coming back. Slowly but surely. Thanks to Devin Heroux for the updates.

Fun fact.

On this day in 1980 in Tokyo, location testing for a game began and got positive reviews. This game was released in Japan that July and North America that December. That game - Pac-Man. The ghost munching dot eating yellow head is 40 years old. Billy Mitchell was credited and claimed to have been the first to achieve a perfect score (3,333,360 points). 7 players have since gotten said perfect score. Happy birthday Pac-Man.

A good and interesting 24 hours

Had a pretty good thunder storm last night and it sounds like more now (my radio is crackling and I looked outside a few minutes ago and saw dark clouds). Good thing I went for a good long walk. 26k later. Walked the entire rotary trail. Now I'm doing as little as possible.

Serving to olympics

Jeremy Hazin will be going to Tokyo. He will be serving up some table tennis on the mens side. Yay.

3 more going to Tokyo

Three more added to the Olympic team. Evan Dunfee in the 50k walk, Dayna Pidhoresky in women's marathon and Trevor Hofbauer in mens marathon. Tokyo Olympics are next summer.

Of course it did that.

Of course it snowed today. Because it's May. Not sure how much we got here because half of it already melted. I suppose the moisture is needed. Keeps the grass, trees and gardens fed and cleans the roads a bit. Spring in Canada - what else do you expect.

Lazy Friday night to begin May.

Cooler day today. Didn't do too much. Just finished watching the last episode of season 1 of Magnum P.I. I have the whole series. 7 more seasons and 141 episodes to go lol. Still waiting for season 9 of Bonanza to show up so I can watch that and season 10 of that series. Gonna be fun.
