day one so far

roughly halfway through day one and medals already handed out. the first gold goes to Virginia Thrasher of the U.S. in the 10m air rifle. the silver went to Du Li and bronze - both from China. right now Canada vs Brazil in rugby 7s. Canada is winning so far. they won their first game earlier over Japan 45-0. the women's soccer team beat Zimbabwe. more medals to come later. stay tuned.
