Women's ice hockey opener

 Canada opened with a 5-3 win over Finland after trailing 2-0. Finland has played Canada fairly well the last two or three years.  Earlier Czech Republic beat Denmark 6-1 in pool b action. Switzerland vs USA will round out day one (also group a, which is Canada's group). Canada plays again Sunday vs Russia.  Tomorrow has Russia vs Switzerland (group A), Germany vs Hungary (group B) and Denmark vs Japan (group B).

 Wow did Montréal ever dethrone Toronto. The Alouettes knocked off the defending Grey Cup champions Argonauts 38-17. That is big. The second 16-2 team to fail to get to the Grey Cup. Also Montréal first Grey Cup trip since 2010 when they beat Saskatchewan. Next up is B.C. vs Winnipeg.
