group C is in the books. Germany beat Northern Ireland 1-0 while Poland beat Ukraine, also 1-0. Germany and Poland tied for first with 7 points, but Germany wins the group based on goal differential (+3 - +2) Northern Ireland finishes third with three points and may get into the round of 16 as one of the four best third place teams and Ukraine finishes last with no points. a little later has Croatia vs Spain and Czech Republic vs Turkey to finish group D action.
