100 years of fenway and maybe another 100 more
today is the 100th anniversary of the first game at fenway park. that first game had the red sox beating the new york highlanders 7-6. tonight, the red sox play the yankees and the yankees will be wearing their throwback uniforms that feature the interlocking NY on the jersey. im hoping the red sox will do the same. oh by the way the highlanders changed their name to the yankees in 1913.
