Catching a glimpse

 This from Old Time Baseball Photos. This is from a game at Wrigley Field in Chicago. The date was July 14, 1932. Early part of the great depression. A group of boys climbed a tree to catch a glimpse of the Cubs beating the Brooklyn Dodgers 4-1. Around 10,000 people were in attendance, so there was plenty of seating. Seeing as boys will be boys...... Also check the cars out.

Quarter finals 3 and 4

 Heartbreak for Canada. Lost to Czech Republic 4-3. Rough first, better second and great third until a borderline penalty call on Canada (it was a clean hit) Czechs scored on power play and that was it. Heartbreaking, frustrating and disappointing finish to said game. Other quarter finals had Finland beat Slovakia 5-3. Semi finals has Sweden vs Finland and United States vs Czech Republic. Both games on Saturday.
