New year's Eve game

 Canada deserved to lose this. You take 7 penalties - yes 7 - you get scored on three of them, how do you expect to win. The United States deserved this win tonight, winning 4-1 to take first in group a. Finland finished second and Canada third. Quarter finals has: United States vs Switzerland, Czech Republic vs Canada, Sweden vs Latvia and Finland vs Slovakia.  Germany vs Kazakhstan in the relegation game. All games on Thursday.

Quarter finals 3 and 4

 Heartbreak for Canada. Lost to Czech Republic 4-3. Rough first, better second and great third until a borderline penalty call on Canada (it was a clean hit) Czechs scored on power play and that was it. Heartbreaking, frustrating and disappointing finish to said game. Other quarter finals had Finland beat Slovakia 5-3. Semi finals has Sweden vs Finland and United States vs Czech Republic. Both games on Saturday.

Dodgers to world series

 It will be the New York Yankees vs the Los Angeles Dodgers For the world series as the Dodgers beat the Mets 10-5 in game 6 of the NLCS and the series 4-2. It will be the 12th meeting between the Yankees and Dodgers in the world series. The Yankees hold an 8-3 edge. (Yankees in 1941, 1947, 1949, 1952, 1953, 1956, 1977 and 1978. Dodgers in 1955, 1963 and 1981). It will be my first time watching these two. I started watching baseball in 1983
