1965-66 NHL season

 This season had (but not for much longer) 6 teams  and 70 games. Bobby Hull sets records for most goals in a season (54) and points (97). Hull also wins scoring race by 19 points and goals by 22. February 9, 1966 league announces that Los Angeles, St Louis, Minnesota, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and San Francisco will be the cities added. There was a 26 point gap between 4th (Detroit) and 5th (Boston). #1 draft pick is Barry Gibbs by Boston. He plays 796 games between Boston, Minnesota, Atlanta, St Louis and Los Angeles. Playoffs had: SF; Montreal 4 Toronto 0 and Detroit 4 Chicago 2. Stanley Cup finals had Montreal 4 Detroit 2. Roger Crozier of Detroit wins Conn Smythe trophy for playoff mvp despite being on losing team.  Soon the final original 6 season, the 1966-67 season
