 This tournament was in Brazil for the second time and was held from June 12 to July 13.  James Rodriguez of Colombia led the tournament with 6 goals.  Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦 debuted here.  Goal line technology was used for the first time in this tournament.  All 8 previous or current champions qualified (Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Uruguay).
