Canada vs Japan + a surprise

 Let's start with the surprise.  This in soccer.  Sweden beat the USA 3-0 to start the women's tournament. Ok who predicted that?

This game just ended as Canada and Japan played to a 1-1 tie. Christine Sinclair scored in the 6th minute to open the scoring and Mana Iwabuchi tied it in the 84th minute. For Sinclair, it was her 187th international goal in her 300th game.  Canada plays Chile early Saturday morning. 1:30am Prince Albert time.
