two overtimes and a blowout

both nhl games went into overtime and both finals were 3-2. pittsburgh beat washington to cut the caps series lead to two to one and carolina beat boston to go up two games to one. meanwhile the celtics blew out the orlando magic 112-94 to even that series at one. houston @ l.a.lakers set to tip off.

nba update: lakers 111 rockets 98. series tied at one.
