jimmie johnson won the subway 500. denny hamlin gave him a run, but finished 2nd. jeff burton had an engine failure and finished 42nd. matt kenseth finished 11th. kevin harvick was 9th. matt kenseth now leads the points by 36 points over kevin harvick. jimmie johnson moves to 3rd, while jeff burton falls to 5th. next race in atlanta.
