uaw/ford 500

talk about a wild finish. im surprised there wasnt a huge wreck at the end (other than kyle petty) dale jarrett was scored as the winner. tony stewart came second and has retaken the lead by 4 points over ryan newman. there was even two mini wrecks that got mikey waltrip and scott riggs to flip over a few times. mark martin, im under the impression, cant stand restrictor plate racing. exciting, yes. unless your cheering for someone (like i was with tony stewart), you hope your guy dont wreck. anyways thats talladega. next race in kansas on the 9th. and no restrictor plate.

Hey Chris, what's "restrictor plate racing" and why do you hate it? Your explanation might be a good blog entry topic. Thanks.

the use of the rextrictor plate is to cut down the horse power, which creates speed. without the restrictor plate, speeds would hit 220-230 mph, which could lead to some BAD wrecks. these races apply to daytona and talladega. youve see how wide daytona is (remember the sask trip). thats why. if you read closely, it was mark martin who said he hated it. ciao
