April 2 Mike Bossy scores 60th goal three seasons in a row. 3. April 22, New York Islanders wins 14th straight playoff series. Billy Smith is Conn Smythe trophy winner for playoff MVP. #1 draft pick in 1983 is Brian Lawton, chosen by Minnesota. Lawton plays 283 games, 112 goals, 154 assists, for 266 points.
