1966-67 NHL season

 This season has (for the last time) 70 games and 6 teams. Highlights had: 1. Bobby Orr signing with Boston on September 3rd and debuting that season. 2. March 4, Terry Sawchuk records career shutout 100. 3. March 18 Bobby Hull first player to record back to back 50 goal seasons. 3. March 28 Stan Mikita records most assists in season with 62.  Expansion draft had the 6 teams pick 18 skaters and 2 goalies.  Semi finals had Montreal 4 New York 0 and Toronto 4 Chicago 2. Toronto then beat Montreal 4-2 to win the 1967 Stanley Cup,  the last in the original 6 and in Canada's centennial. It us also Toronto's 13th and final Cup. Dave Keon wins Conn Smythe trophy for playoff MVP. First pick in the 1967 amateur draft was Rick Pagnutti, chosen by Los Angeles. He never plays an NHL game. Next up - the 1967-68 NHL season.
