Saint Lucia

 Time for something different. A nation at the Olympics we don't pay attention to. Today is Saint Lucia. They are located in the eastern Caribbean. They are in the Atlantic time zone. Their capital is Castries. Official language is English, vernacle language is St. Lucian Creole. Island is in between Martinique and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Closest major country is Venezuela. February 22 1979 became independent state.  National Olympic Committee formed in 1987 and IOC recognized it in 1993. First games was 1996 in Atlanta and been in every games since. Michelle Baptist first flag bearer. Laverne Spencer was flag bearer 4 times. Fun fact - when Athens hosted in 2004, Saint Lucia was first country in parade of nations (Greece opened with Pyrros Dimas carrying the flag, and all the Greek athletes closed it).  So there you go.  Find out soon who will be next.
