last night of regular season means playoffs on the doorstep

it was a wild last day of the season with Ottawa and Pittsburgh taking the last two playoff spots and playoff matchups getting set up. all games are now done and the playoff match ups are: in the Metropolitan division it's the New York Rangers vs the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Washington Capitals facing the New York Islanders. the Atlantic division has the Montreal Canadiens vs the Ottawa Senators and the Tampa Bay Lightning vs the Detroit Red Wings. the Pacific division has the Anaheim Ducks facing the Winnipeg Jets and the Vancouver Canucks facing the Calgary Flames. and in the Central division it's the St. Louis Blues vs the Minnesota Wild and the Nashville Predators vs the Chicago Blackhawks. playoffs start on Wednesday night.
