red sox world series champions

the boston red sox are world series champions with a 6-1 win in game six and the series four games to two. john lackey pitched 7 2/3 of excellent baseball for the win. michael wacha went less than five innings in the loss. shane victorino hit a bases clearing double in the third and got a fourth rbi in the fourth. koji uehara got the final three outs in the game in a non save situation. it is bostons first world series clincher at home since 1918 (the 2004 and 2007 wins were in st.louis and colorado respectively). david ortiz was named world series mvp. 11 for 16 at the plate. dont remember how many runs he drove in. he gets a 2014 chevy silverado truck. so that's it for another baseball season. see ya in the spring.
