two cfl records fall in battle of alberta

calgary stampeders's john cornish set a cfl rushing record for most rushing yards by a canadian with a 22 yard carry in the third quarter in their win over edmonton.  he past former eskimo and one time calgary gm (i think - i need to double check that one)  normie kwong for the record.  on the defensive side, j.c. sherritt of the eskimos set a record for most tackes in one season that stood since 1994.  he passed calvin tiggle on his last tackle of the game.  by the way, calgary won 30-27.  b.c. won the west and montreal won the east and get a bye into their division finals.  with the loss, edmonton still gets to cross over into the east division, having a better record than winnipeg and hamilton, and will play in toronto in the east semi.  saskatchewan goes to calgary to play in the west semi.  both semi final games are on remembrance day - november 11.
