russia owned the tournament and the gold medal game by beating slovakia 6-2. russia won all seven round robin games, the quarters, the semi final and the gold. evgeni malkin was tournament mvp with 19 points. slovakia put in a pretty good run themselves. nobody expected them to get that far. they got to the quarters, beat canada there, then beat the czech rep. in the semis.congrats to both teams. next year the tournament is in helsinki and stcokholm - also this years hosts.
