carl edwards won last week. today, juan pablo montoya, in his first nascar season, won his first race a t teh toyota save mart 350 in sonoma, ca. gas mileage came into play again. kevin harvick finished 2nd. jamie mcmurray had 2nd but ran out of gas as did carl edwards and kyle petty. jeff gordon finished 7th after starting 41st and jimmie johnson finished 17th after starting 42nd. both failed inspection before qualifying on friday and wasnt allowed to qualify. (both used provisionals) whether penalties will be handed down will be decided tomorrow or tuesday. i think theyll lose some points, get fined, put on probation or, on the off chance get parked in louden next week. thats all from wine country.
