flyers vs central red army anniversary

thirty years ago tonight was the anniversary of central red army visiting philadelphia. january 11, 1976 the flyers beat central red army. i don't remember the score (i did see the highlights), but there was one play that stands out. ed van impe's elbow on one of the russian players, which caused the red army team to leave the ice. from which you can hear bob cole say "they're going home." it was found out the team wasn't paid, so they had to finished the game. i remember seeing the tape which had comments from players who was involved. so thats that.
