oiler news

wow have the oilers been busy. last night they get chris pronger from st. louis an a trade (gave up eric brewer, doug lynch and jeff woywitka). just announced moments ago, the oilers got mike peca from the n.y. islanders in a trade (sent mike york to the islanders). details of this trade to follow. the oilers signed pronger to a five year deal. these deals would not have been possible if it werent for the very current cba, shich gives small market teams, like edmonton, to get big name players. i even heard today that the flames signed jarome iginla to a 3 year deal, which is good for them.
