end of the month tomorrow already? wtf can't believe the end of august is tomorrow already. i cant believe it went by already. with the kids going back to school wednesday and the labor day football coming up next monday, the nfl starting, the nascar race for the chase begins and hockey hitting training camps. september is shaping up to ge a good one already. this month, i was happy to get internet back, baseball, nfl preseason (yawn), nascar racing, the fringe here, heritage days here, and i cant remember what else.

feels kinda like fall it sure feels like fall. i think its the wind thats helping. plus its 15c outside. its interesting because yesterday it was 29c yesterday. then there was a thunderstorm last night. i saw it go by at work. there was some hail too. gonna be fall like for awhile from what i heard on the news. i'll take it.

a clean sweep at bristol unbelievable. capping off with the irwin tools 500 tonight, kyle busch swept bristol this weekend. he on the truck race and the nationwide race this weekend as well. congrats to him meanwhile juan montoya took out jimmie johnson causing him to finish 35th in the race and is now 9th in the points. with the top 12 making it and jimmie sliding, im getting worried. hopefully he gets back on the schnide in atlanta on sept. 5. thats when the next race is

gotta love it when a plan comes together worked well getting the homestead cleaned up and lawn mowed. and apples on the ground raked up. plus watched the end of season 3 of hell's kitchen on dvd, it made for a good day. an off day tomorrow as well - just gotta slack off then.

carfax 400 kevin harvick got himself into the chase with a win in michigan today. i didnt see the race. jimmie johnson finished 12th and is still fifth in the points. with three races to the chase its going to be a great run to there. next race is saturday night at bristol.

heck of a game at rogers centre - for a second day in a row pitcher brandon morrow of the toronto blue jays struck out 17 batters and took a no hitter to the last out of the 9th inning in a 1-0 win over the tampa bay rays. he ended up getting the last out to pitch a complete game one hitter. not long after the rays got one of their own a few days ago they almost got victimized. the rays were no hit twice as well.

heck of a game at rogers centre - even for a rookie this was quite a baseball game between the toronto blue jays and tampa bay rays. the jays won 17-11 in which they hit 8 home runs in the game - 2 by J.P Arencibia. the first one he hit was in his first at bat and the first pitch he faced. overall he had 4 hits (with the 2 homers). he was the first player since 1900 to hit 2 homers and four hits, the 5th player to hit two homers in his first game and 107th player to hit a homer in his first major league at bat. he had 3 runs batted in also. great game for sure

ahhh the lazy, hazy summer saturday i love it when i have my saturday off. with me working at westmount mall, its me and another worker that alternate saturdays. today im off and coworker works. next saturday i work and coworker is off. its a small crew atwestmount (its a small mall). its been good there. meanwhile today, the laundry is getting done and yesterday i got other things done (i was off yesterday too). a good two days.

im back nearly four weeks without internet. i think it ran from me. im not sure what happened, but i thing the first culprit was a thunderstorm messed with it. in between then and now, spain won the world cup, the national league won the all star game, lots of baseball and football. the nfl began training camps already. back to some fun now.

world cup semi final two spain defeated germany 1-0 to face the netherlands in the championship game on sunday. spain controlled the game with quick passing, ball control and very good defence. germany could not get anything going. germany faces uruguay for third place on saturday at 12:30 in port elizabeth. spain plays the netherlands on sunday at 12:30 in johannesburg

world cup semi final one the netherlands is going to the world cup final on sunday with a 3-2 win over uruguay. uruguay in the meantime will play for third place on saturday. the second semi final is tomorrow at 12:30 between germany and spain.

quarter final part 2 germany took out argentina 4-0 to go to the semi finals against spain, who took out paraguay 1-0 in a wierd game where there were goals dissalowed on penalty kicks (i saw the highlights) and such. germany and spain play wednesday while the netherlands play uruguay on tuesday.

quarterfinal part one biiig. the netherlands just knocked out brazil 2-1 and will face uruguay or ghana in one semi final game. brazil had the first half, but the netherlands took control of the game when they tied it when melo of brazil headed the ball into his own net. they scored again and brazil lost their composure. anyways uruguay and ghana at 12:30. update: urugauy wins in penalty kicks 4-2 after ghana had the opportuniy to win it in extra time on the last play. a uruguay player stopped the ball with his hand causung ghana to get a penalty kick. that kick ended up off the crossbar. so uruguay plays the netherlands on tuesday.

happy canada day happy 143rd birthday to canada. canada day celebrations all over canada culminating in the fireworks show to cap it all off. even people decked out in anything red and white. even the cfl season started already with montreal and saskatchewan kicking it of with a pretty good shootout so far in a 33-33 tie game midway in the 4th quarter. toronto at calgary is at 8pm. cheers to canada.

end of june already. good golly miss molly man, june flew by like nothing. lets see, theres was the world cup, which is still happening with the quarterfinals on friday and saturday, the blackhawks winning the stanley cup, the lakers winning the nba championship, four car races with jimmie johnson winning two of them and loads of baseball. the nhl draft happend and the oilers taking taylor hall with the first overall choice.. coming up, the end of the world cup, the cfl season starts, the mlb all star game and other games around it, more nascar beginning saturday night in daytonaand free agent frenzy tomorrow. its a happening july already.

round of 16 part four the final day of the round of sixteen began witha great game between paraguay and japan. this one went scorless right to the penalty kicks. paraguay won it 5-3. only japan missed when one oftheir players hit the crossbar. anyways paraguay will face either portugal or spain. that game is at 12:30. update: spain beat portugal 1-0 and will face paraguay on saturday

round of 16 part 3 the netherlands have knocked out slovakia with a 2-1 win. slovakia got their goal on a penalty kick which ended up the last play of the game while the netherlands got a goal in each half. the netherlands will play the winner of the brazil vs chile game. that game is at 12:30. update: brazil 3 chile 0. brazil vs netherlands on friday

round of 16 part 2 germany just knocked out england 4-1 and will go to the quarter finals and will face either argentina or mexico. turning point was a goal england had got disallowed after it hit the crossbar and came down over the line. after that germany took over. argentina and mexico is at 12:30. update: agrentina 3 mexico 1 argentina will face germany on saturday.

round of 16 part one uruguay just beat south korea 2-1 to advance to the quarter finals and will face either ghana or the united states. that game is at 12:30. update: ghana defeats the u.s. 2-1 in extra time. ghana got the winner early in the first half of extra time and hung on to it after the full half hour of extra time. ghana will now face uruguay in one quarter final game on july 2.

arizona's no hitter edwin jackson of the arizona diamondbacks threw a no hitter against the tampa bay rays in a 1-0 arizona win. the fourth no hitter of the year already. one in april, the two perfect games in may and this one. quite the company jackson has joined.
