Canada in a romp

 Tonight wasn't much doubt. Canada beats Denmark 9-1 to win their third game. Sets up the new years eve clash vs Finland. Canada will do no worse than 2nd in their group. Gonna be a fun new years eve.

Canada in a tight one

 Wow did Canada get away with one. Latvia took Canada to overtime, but Canada scores on the power play in it to win 2-1. Fortunate win tonight. Next game is Monday vs Denmark.

Canada wins a barn burner

 This ended up a pretty good game. Canada wins their opener 7-5 over the Czech Republic. Quite the spirited game. Czechs brought it tonight. Canada plays again tomorrow vs Latvia, puck drop 3:30 Prince Albert time.

World Juniors opener

 Sweden beat Slovakia 3-2 to open this year's tournament. On now has Finland leading Denmark 6-1. Canada opens vs Czech Republic at 7:30 Prince Albert time. Stay tuned.

First day of winter

 Winter began at 9:05 am today, being the shortest day of the year in terms of daylight hours. Gradually we will get more daylight. And Christmas is in four days.

Meet the cross country skiing team

 Here are the skiers representing Canada at the winter Olympics in Italy. They are: Jasmine Drolet, Liliane Gagnon, Alison Mackie, Sonjaa Schmidt, Katherine Stewart-Jones, Antoine Cyr Remi Drolet, Max Hollman, Xavier McKeever and Tom Stephan. Good luck in Italy.

Meet the Short track speed skating team

 Here are 10 speed skaters representing Canada at the 2026 Olympics. They are: William Dandjinou, Steven Dubois, Maxime Laqun, Jordan Pierre-Gilles, Felix Roussel, Danae Blais, Kim Boutin Florence Brunell, Rikki Doak and Courtney Sarault. The alternates are: Claudia Gagnon, Ann-Sophie Bachand, Mathieu Pelletier and Philippe Daudelin. Good luck in Italy.

2028 world Juniors

 Tampere and Turku in Finland will be the cities that will host the 2028 world Juniors hockey championships. Was announced yesterday. Should be a fun tournament.

CFL sked

 The 2026 CFL sked has dropped. Opening weekend has Montreal at Hamilton June 4, Winnipeg at Calgary June 5 and Edmonton at Ottawa June 6. Week two also has 3 games. Week 16 is the last to have 3 games. October 31 is the division semi, November 7 is the division final and November 15 is the 113th Grey Cup.
