end of march. wow already. march is going out in a nice way. spring has FINALLY showed its face. its supposed to be nice until next week. hopefully longer. time to watch the snow dissapear for good. baseball season starts today as well. with april on the doorstep, it will be a baseball kind of month. lets not forget the nhl playoff chase as well as the nba. the ncaa championship weekend is almost here too. semifinal saturday and championship monday. and nascar on tap too. easter in there too. goodbye march hello april.

racing in fontana and final four set kevin harvick won out in fontana beating jimmie johnson. johnson moved to 5th in the points. kurt busch lost the points lead finishing 17th. carl edward took the points lead with a 6th place finish. next race is next sunday in martinsville and the goody's fast relief 500. meanwhile, VCU took out the last #1 seed in kansas, beating the jayhawks 71-61. kentucky is in the final four as well, beating north carolina 76-69. so it will be kentucky vs uconn in one final four game and VCU will play butler in the other. both games are saturday

elite 8 part one half of the final four is in with butler beating florida 74-71 in overtime and uconn beat arizona 65-63. butler will face either kansas or VCU and uconn will face kentucky or north carolina. kansas/VCU and kentucky/north carolina play tomorrow afternoon.

sweet 16 part two two of four games are done, with kansas beating richmond 77-57 and will play either VCU or florida. meanwhile, north carolina beat marquette 81-63 and will face either kentucky or ohio st. VCU vs florida and kentucky vs ohio state starts within the next half an hour. update: VCU just beat florida state 72-71 in overtime and will make its first elite 8 appearance in school history. they will play the kansas jayhawks. earlier kentucky beat ohio state 62-60 and will face north carolina.. both games on sunday

ncaa champ out, other finalist in elite 8 last years ncaa champions are out as the arizona wildcats knock out the duke bluedevils 93-77 and will face uconn, who knocked out san diego state 74-67. meanwhile last years finalist, the butler bulldogs knocked out wisconsin 61-54 and will face florida who knocked out BYU 87-74. thats half of the elite 8. the rest will be decided tomorrow night

first day of spring, racing at bristol and sweet 16 set featurring a couple of upsets the first day of spring has sprung at 5:21pm here to barely above temperatures. time for the snow to go away finally meanwhile in bristol, kyle busch wins there again and moved up 8 spots to 6th, while jimmie johnson finished 3rd and moved up to 7th in points. kurt busch still leads the points, but by one over carl edwards. floridat state capped of night four of the ncaa tourney with a 71-57 win over notre dame and will face VCU in one sweet 16 matchup. VCU pulled off one upset beating purdue 94-76. marquette pulled off the other upset beating syracuse 66-62 and will face north carolina in anothe sweet 16 matchup. the rest of the matchups are: kentucky vs ohio st, kansas vs richmond, duke vs arizona, uconn vs san diego st, BYU vs florida and butler vs wisconsin. by this time next sunday we will know the final four.

first #1 seed falls. thats the pitts in an exciting and close finish, #8 butler knocked out #1 pittsburgh 71-70 and will be in the sweet 16 again. they will get either kansas state or wisconsin. the rest of the matchups will be decided tonight and tomorrow.

happy st. patricks day can't believe i almost forgot to pull this one. even though its basically over, i hope everyone had a great st. patrick's day. and hopefully you all wore green. even this post. could have used some green beer. cheers.

ncaa upset special already first night and already a couple of upsets. first one had morehead state beating louisville 62-61. the second one had richmond beating vanderbilt 69-66 and the third had gonzaga beat st. johns 86-71. maybe more tomorrow.

march madness has begun the ncaa tournament has officially begun. clemson and west virginia started it and they are at halftime tied at 40. old dominion vs butler is also playing at the moment with old dominion leading 21-19 getting late in the first half. more to come as the day goes on.

the play in to the tournament today marks the beginning of the ncaa tournament with the first two of four play in games. north carolina-asheille vs arkansas-little rock is at 4:30 with the winner playing pittsburgh to start the tournament. the second game is at 7:00 between clemason and UAB with the winner to play west virginia. tomorrow is the UTSA roadrunners and the alabama state hornets at 4:30 and virginia commonwealth rams and USC trojans at 7. tournament officially begins thursday night

spring forward, unless you dont have to 2am tomorrow morning is the official time to move your clocks ahead one hour, so do so before you go to bed. unless you are in saskatchewan and parts of the united states that don't observe daylight time then ignore it.

red green show dvd insanity. while i was watching "the red green show the toddlin' years" (seasons 4-6), acorn media decided to release "the delinquient years" (seasons 7-9) on this coming tuesday. two days ago, acorn media wil be putting out "the midlife crisis years" (seasons 10-12, and no im not making the titles up) on may 31st. acorn keeps this up they'll have the final three seasons out by the end of the summer. 15 seasons of duct tape to keep this blog going haha.

kobalt tools 400 carl edwards won in las vegas today and was doing backflips afterwards. well his patented backflip off his car after he wins. jimmie johnson finished 16 and is 12th iun the points with 87 (new points system this year) tony stewart and kurt busch are tied for the lead with 113. next race is in bristol in two weeks.

a new month means this.......... 1. it will eventually warm up. the cold weather is getting a tad unnerving. gotta start seeing some grass soon. 2.spring training baseball has arrived. baseball season is near. 3. march madness a.k.a. ncaa basketball tournament is close. starts march 17th. 4. playoff drive in both the nba and nhl. 5. nascar gets into full swing even though they are two races in. and 6. at 2am on the morning of march 13 clocks move ahead one hour (unless you live in parts of canada and the u.s. that dont observe daylight saving time, then you dont have to). quite a month already set up.
