2024 (XXXIII Olympiad) games preview

 We've made it to the preview. The 2024 Paris Olympics begin tomorrow and end on August 11. 206 nations and 10714 athletes scheduled to participate. Paris is second city to host 3 times. (1900 and 1924), with London being first (1908, 1948 and 2012). Breakdance debuting here. Final games under Thomas Bach. 2nd time an opening ceremony would be held outside a stadium (2018 summer youth Olympics the first). The ceremony, along with parade of nations, will be held on the river Seine. Refugee Olympic Athletes makes a return and Russian and Belarus athletes under individual neutral athletes banner. Canada will be sending 315 athletes to the games and will be led out by Andre De Grasse and Maude Charon. Here is the emblem for today.
