1980 (XXII Olympiad) games

 These games were in Moscow, Soviet Union from July 19 to August 3. 80 nations and 5256 athletes participated. 66 nations boycotted due to U.S. led boycott over Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Czechoslovakia won soccer gold over East Germany. India won 8th field hockey gold. In 400m swimming, 16 swimmers finished in under 4 minutes. Medal count: Soviet Union won 80g, 69s 46b for 195 total.
