2010 winter games
the 2010 games were in Vancouver, B.C. and were held from February 12 - 28. 82 nations were at these games. highlights include: 1. Alexandre Bilodeau wins Canada's first gold on home soil (never won one in 1976 summer games in Montreal or 1988 in Calgary) when he wins the moguls on day two. 2. Charlotte Kalla becoms Sweden's first female individual gold medalist as she wins the women's 10km freestyle in cross country skiing. 3. Dario Cologna wins Switzerland's first cross country skiing gold medal. he won the 15km freestyle. 4. Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir of Canada wins North America's first ice dance gold. training partners Meryl Davis and Charlie White of the U.S. wins silver. 5. Canad wins most golds at a winter games AND wins most golds by a home country with 14. U.S. wins most medals at a winter games with 37.
