Twins are wild card, Cubs "Central"izes things

the Minnesota Twins are making their first postseason appearance since 2010 after clinching the wild card last night.  they got some help from the Chicago White Sox when they beat the L.A.Angels.

meanwhile the Chicago Cubs took the N.L. Central crown after beating the Cardinals in St.Louis.  only thing to be decided is the A.L. East.  Boston and New York are already postseason bound.  one will take the division. stay tuned

Dominica, St Lucia, Cape Verde, and Albania won first medal. Dominica, St Lucia, Botswana and Guatemala won first golds. Refugee Olympic Athletes team also won a medal. 3. 85 nations won a medal. 4. 32 Olympic records and 10 world records fell. 5.  Siffan Hassan won a bronze in 5000 and 10000 meter and a gold in marathon. That's over 57km in running. Wow. 6.  One podium sweep and it was France in men's BMX. Toris Daudet (gold), Sylvain Andre (silver) and Romain Mahieu (bronze) was on the podium. 7. United States and China tied for most gold (40). United States won most overall (40g, 44s, 42b) with 126. France had 16g, 26s, 22b for 64 total. Canada won 9g, 7s, 11b for 27 total. Coming up had the Paralympics.
