the lakers win game six 108-105 (it was a rout earlier in the game) and win the series in six games. the now wait for the winner of the san antonio/new orleans series. san antonio won game six last night to even it and look to win in new orleans on monday night. meanwhile the cavaliers evened their series at three winning 74-69 over the celtics. game seven is sunday.

Refugee Olympic Athletes team also won a medal. 3. 85 nations won a medal. 4. 32 Olympic records and 10 world records fell. 5.  Siffan Hassan won a bronze in 5000 and 10000 meter and a gold in marathon. That's over 57km in running. Wow. 6.  One podium sweep and it was France in men's BMX. Toris Daudet (gold), Sylvain Andre (silver) and Romain Mahieu (bronze) was on the podium. 7. United States and China tied for most gold (40). United States won most overall (40g, 44s, 42b) with 126. France had 16g, 26s, 22b for 64 total. Canada won 9g, 7s, 11b for 27 total. Coming up had the Paralympics.
