1962-63 NHL season
The 1962-63 season had (ya you know) 70 games and 6 teams. Highlights include: 1. November 7, Glenn Hall was pulled grom consecutive game 502 with a back injury. 2. April 18 Dave Keon is first player to score 2 shorthanded goals in the same game. 3. Johnny Bower posts a 1.60 goals against average in the playoffs at age 38. The entry draft begins with Garry Monahan the first pick. 4. James Norris offers Stafford Smythe $1 million for Frank Mahovolich. Smythe turns it down. 5. Jean Beliveau scores #300 on January 26. 6. Paul Henderson makes hid debut with Detroit. Playoffs: semi finals had Toronto beat Montreal 4-1 and Detroit beat Chicago 4-2. Stanley Cup final had Toronto beat Detroit 4-1 to win their 2nd cup in a row and their 11th overall. Soon - the 1963-64 NHL season.
