a soggy end of an era
its an end of a baseball era. the edmonton trappers played their final home game - well played an inning. until the rain ended it. the rain came off and on until the las vegas half of the second started. then it started raining heavily to which the head ump got everyone off the field. the game got called off to soggy and unsafe conditions. the rain by that time let up. there was some fireworks to end the festivities. at least we have a northern league team to begin in 2005. the trappers played 24 seasons, had 7 million fans visit, 4 p.c.l. championships, and a 10 year old beautiful ball park - TELUS field. by the way - tonite (and all season) was "last call at the phone booth." TELUS field was nicknamed "the phone booth."
