Lions maul Buccaneers

 Got close at the end though. Detroit beat Tampa Bay 31-23 to go to the NFC championship game against San Francisco. They are making their first conference title game since 1991. Yikes. Coming up has Kansas City at Buffalo.

 It's the 25th edition, this time, Canmore Alberta is the feature host. Boston at Ottawa is on now. At 6pm Prince Albert time has Toronto at Montreal and Calgary at Winnipeg, and at 9pm Prince Albert time has Edmonton at Vancouver. Gonna be fun as usual. Ice hockey at the 1980 winter Olympics

 This tournament went from February 12-24, 1980. 12 teams played. The Olympic Fieldhouse and Olympic Arena hosted the games. Canada hockey team returns and finishes 6th. Tournament best remembered for the "miracle on ice" as the United States beat the Soviet Union before beating Finland to win gold. They had also beat Czechoslovakia and tied Sweden. Their roster fielded exclusively amateur players. The United States, as mentioned, won gold, Soviet Union the silver and Sweden the bronze. Next is the 1984 tournament in Sarajevo Yugoslavia (now Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦).
